By Thierry Ané on February 10, 2014

Hong Kong based driver Darryl O’Young counts among the most decorated and celebrated GT drivers of all time. In order to pay tribute to his tenth participation in the Macau Grand Prix race, Oris has just released a new limited edition chronograph.

Part of the TT3 collection, this 44.5 mm timepiece is crafted in black PVD titanium and features a black ceramic ring with a white tachymeter scale. All the Arabic numerals of this very legible grey dial are white except for the number “10” that has been painted in red to celebrate this anniversary. The transparent case back exhibits an intricate spoke design, inspired by the wheels of O’Young’s BMW. Behind it, one can still admire Oris’ iconic red rotor that winds the 774 calibre. Based on the Sellita SW 500, this movement indicates the time of the day with small seconds, the date by a window at 6 o’clock and incorporates a chronograph function.

Fitted with a black rubber strap with a black PVD triple folding buckle, this model is limited to 500 pieces and retails at CHF 3,400. It is presented in a special tyre-inspired box that should appeal to motor sports enthusiast.
