Photo Report: Hublot Classic Fusion Tourbillon Night-Out (live pics)

By Thierry Ané on March 7, 2014

The year 2013 has been extremely creative for prestige Swiss brand Hublot and the Manufacture ended it spectacularly with its own interpretation of a smart evening dress, something suitable for the most classic piece of formal wear, the tuxedo. But, it is Hublot we are talking about and naturally, the brand was keen on putting a unique twist on an otherwise all-wise type of watch.

Last December, I presented this model to you on Watch Agora with the official pictures but the watch was supposed to be officially presented only in January during the SIHH week. It is thus in Geneva that we had the opportunity to see this beautiful watch first-hand and take a few pictures for all of you.

Just in case some of you missed this interesting model in December and forgot to read my previous articleWatches: Hublot Classic Fusion Tourbillon Night-Out (shame on you!), let me briefly remind you of what we are talking about.

The Classic Fusion Tourbillon Night-Out is an elegant all-black 45 mm watch with an extremely sleek look due to the polished black ceramic used for both the case and bezel. This gleaming sensation is enhanced by the use of a shiny black calfskin leather strap sewn onto rubber, for comfort and flexibility. It is secured by a black PVD folding buckle.

To maintain the elegance and simplicity that define an evening dress, it is fitted with a black lacquered dial. But Hublot added its magic bling touch so that the watch does not go unnoticed: the hour markers are set with baguette-cut diamonds that bring the perfect sparkling finish to this great-looking model.

Paradoxically, though, the brilliance of these exquisite baguettes is not the first thing that will catch the eye of watch connoisseurs. They will indeed focus their attention on the large aperture at 6 o’clock, mesmerized by the rotation of a flying tourbillon.

At the heart of the Classic Fusion Tourbillon Night-Out beats the MHUB 6011 calibre. This manually-wound movement with an impressive 5-day power reserve is entirely produced in the brand’s workshops.

Only 30 pieces of this stunning watch will be made and they will only be sold at exclusive Hublot boutiques around the world.
