Flash News: Maîtres du Temps Chapter One Tonneau Transparence Titanium

By Thierry Ané on March 27, 2014

Maîtres du Temps is not so much a watch company as an entirely new horological concept: bringing a group of master watchmakers together to develop exclusive timepieces.

Their first creation ever, the Chapter One is really the essence of what this brand is all about: a unique and impressive combination of complications. With a tourbillon, a monopusher chronograph, retrograde date and second time zone, as well as two rollers for the the day of the week and moon phase, this marvel surely has a lot to offer.

In order to offer the owner a better view of this technologically advanced movement, the brand introduced a sapphire dial on the round version last year. With its red gold case, the Chapter One Round Transparence was limited to 11 pieces.

This year, a sapphire version of the tonneau-shaped model will debut at Baselworld in a titanium case. The Chapter One Tonneau Transparence measures 62.6mm x 45.9mm for a thickness of 18 mm and comes with a black alligator strap secured by a white gold folding buckle. It is powered by the same in-house automatic SCH02.1 calibre as previous iterations.

This new version features a laser-etched sapphire dial with circular grained appliqués and white SuperLuminova indices that enhances the technical look of this timepiece. Only 11 pieces of this rendition will be made.
