Flash News: Hautlence HL-RS 01 Honeycomb

By Thierry Ané on February 11, 2015

This is a very short article to inform the readers of Watch Agora of the release of a new HL-RS model by Hautlence.

With its TV-shaped 46 x 42 mm case and the presence of jumping hours paired with retrograde minutes, the HR-LS line gathered all the design and technical codes that have made the success of this Swiss luxury brand.

To be exact, an important marker of Hautlence’s DNA, the use of a honeycomb dial, was not present on all versions. Indeed, whereas the HL-RS 03 paired it with orange numerals and hands, the openwork dial of the HL-RS 01 and HL-RS 02 versions used a silver opaline base respectively with gold or blue accents.

The new HL-RS 01 Honeycomb is therefore similar to the HL-RS 01 unveiled in 2012 but with the black honeycomb grid to please the aficionados of the brand. For the rest, nothing has changed: from the manually-wound in-house movement to the multi-layered case combining black DLC-coated steel for the bezel and back with sand-blasted finish with a bead-blasted grade 2 titanium middle and 18-karat 4N gold screws and crown.

This new model mounted on black rubber strap with a titanium folding buckle with pink gold plate will retail for CHF 32,000. The HL-RS 01 Honeycomb is undoubtedly a very nice timepiece but I would have liked to see more changes compared to the HL-RS 01 version…
