Flash News: Linde Werdelin SpidoSpeed Titanium

By Thierry Ané on June 1, 2015

After the Forged Carbon and Black DLC Titanium and the Rose Gold and Black DLC Titanium versions presented last year, Linde Werdelin has just unveiled the SpidoSpeed Titanium in a limited run of 99 pieces.

Aesthetically, the watch is very similar to SpidoLite Titanium introduced earlier this year. It boasts the same type of tonneau-shaped skeletonised case crafted in lightweight grade 5 titanium and plays on the same monochromatic chord. This time around, though, the 44 x 46 mm case with a thickness of 15 mm has been mounted on a blue (instead of grey) rubber strap secured by a pin buckle of the same material as the case.

With satin, polished and microbillé finishing, the watch looks resolutely modern and technical, a feeling enhanced by the presence of a titanium-coloured skeleton dial and hollowed out blued hands. This openwork lets you admire the white bridges and rhodium-coloured wheels and the black markings on the chronograph registers and the outer minute track provide excellent legibility.

Inside the new SpidoSpeed Titanium ticks the LW06 self-winding calibre with chronograph function triggered by the brand’s very own chronograph pusher system. On the open case back, one can admire the working parts of this movement and their contemporary finish as well as the beautiful open-worked oscillating weight adorned with the brand’s name in blue.

The SpidoSpeed Titanium will be exclusively available at Martin Pulli from 1st June 2015, and will go on general release at a number of select retailers as of 8th June 2015. It retails for CHF 18,000, excluding VAT.
