Flash news: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Qatar 135th Anniversary
By Thierry Ané on December 19, 2013
Audemars Piguet commemorates the 135th anniversary of the founding of the State of Qatar with a Royal Oak Offshore in a limited edition of 100 pieces.
Although I don’t have much information about this timepiece yet, I wanted to share the pictures with you. What I do know, is that the watch is powered by the 3126/3840 calibre and that, like the Royal Oak Offshore 20th Anniversary Edition recently made for Singapore, it features an open case back.
The watch combines several shades of grey and does not use the iconic “Méga Tapisserie” motif on the dial. Instead, the watch features a brushed dial similar to the one on the Royal Oak Leo Messi in steel.
I have no information about the material of the case or the bezel. My guess is steel for the former and black ceramic for the latter but we will have to wait for confirmation. All I can add at this point is that this will definitely be a great-looking watch. I also would like to thank the user of our “Royal Oak Offshore Collector” app from Qatar who took the time to let us know about this watch.
