By Thierry Ané on December 19, 2013

A black watch is sleek, sophisticated and stealthy. From high end to pieces more affordable, this neutral colour suits every watch type. Almost all watch brands include an all-black model in their collection and we recently reviewed some of the best all-black timepieces of 2013Watches: Best All-Black Timepieces of 2013. In all honesty, though, Hublot is the real king of the monochrome black look. And, with the new Classic Fusion Tourbillon Night-Out, the Nyon-based manufacture reinforces its supremacy in this field over other brands.

Conceived as an evening watch, this new model plays on shiny black materials as a nod to the silky lapel of a tuxedo, the establish jacket for formal occasions. The 45 mm case of the watch is made of black ceramic, polished to be is as bright as the shiny black calfskin leather strap. The latter is sewn onto black rubber and secured with a black PVD folding buckle. In keeping with the all-black theme, the dial is covered with a black lacquer and features baguette-cut diamond hour markers to strengthen the overall glistening effect. A large aperture at 6 o’clock reveals a flying tourbillon that brings an additional touch of sophistication to this lovely watch.

The exhibition case back lets you admire the MHUB6011 calibre. The exquisite hand-wound movement has been entirely developed and produced in-house by Hublot. Beating at 21,600 vph, it provides a power reserve of 120 hours.

The Classic fusion case is very elegant and extremely comfortable on the wrist. The all-black and shiny materials selected here, the presence of a fine movement equipped with a tourbillon escapement, every single element of this stunning timepiece helps making it the perfect evening watch. The brand confirms its innate sense of style and, with the New Year celebrations coming, the perfect timing of its creations.
